Hallmarking
Hallmarking is not a badge we award ourselves. It is a third-party check on the purity of the metal, and since 2021 it has been compulsory for gold jewellery sold in most of India.
A hallmarked piece carries a BIS mark, the purity in karats and fineness, a six-character HUID, and the jeweller’s identification.
The HUID is unique to your piece. You can check it yourself in the BIS Care app — it will show the purity the piece was tested at, independently of anything we tell you.
Everything on this site is hallmarked. Purity is stated on each product page, and the same figure appears on your invoice.
[TO CONFIRM: the BIS registration number for this shop]
Tell us and we will take the piece back. A purity that does not match the hallmark is not a matter of preference or opinion.
